Biography

Dr Anushka Jayakrishnan is a Trauma and Orthopaedics resident doctor at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, UK. She graduated in Medicine from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland with Second Class Honours. With a keen interest in pursuing a career in Trauma and Orthopaedics, she has demonstrated a commitment to surgical education, quality improvement, and research. Dr Jayakrishnan led an in-person surgical teaching series in orthopaedics and has completed multiple audit cycles focused on patient and staff safety. Her research portfolio includes an abstract published in the British Journal of Surgery, alongside ongoing surgical research including a systematic review and cohort study. She has presented her research in several conferences. This presentation reflects her broader commitment to improving occupational safety standards in orthopaedic theatres.
